In most cases, this is done through networking\u2014finding someone who can help you connect<\/a> with the hiring manager.<\/p>\n Think about how much more effective this approach is. Instead of submitting your resume alongside hundreds of others, you’re making a personal connection. You\u2019re standing out and showing initiative. It\u2019s an active approach, and it’s much more rewarding both in the short term and the long run.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Now, let\u2019s fast forward. Let\u2019s talk about negotiating.<\/p>\n First, always check if negotiation is even on the table.
